The Hayward Classic is one of the top masters track and field meets in the country.  This is a rare opportunity to compete at historic Hayward Field, site of the 1972, 1976, 1980, 2008, and 2012 Olympic Trials.

 



 

GENERAL INFORMATION

SANCTION:

This event is USATF sanctioned.  All entrants agree to follow USATF rules.

USATF:

Membership required to compete.  Join at www.usatf.org or at the Hayward Classic packet pick up.  An separate fee is required for USATF membership.

DIVISIONS:

5 year divisions, age 30 and up, men and women

ENTRY FEES:

$20 first event
$12 second event
$6 each additional event

LATE FEE:

If postmarked after July 19th, add $20 late fee.
All entries must be received by 5 PM on July 24.  There is no at the event, except for relays.

RELAYS:

Held in 10 year age groups.  Team members must wear distinguishing tops.  Relay entries due by 11 AM Sunday, August 3rd (relay events start 1:20 that afternoon)

AWARDS:

Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd by age group.  USATF Oregon Association championship patches for those registered with USATF-Oregon.

FACILITY:

All-weather track and runways.  Spikes 1/4" maximum.  This track is FAST!  Site of the fastest 100m ever run (wind aided) - 9.68!!!

GENERAL INFORMATION

IMPLEMENTS:

Implements must meet WMA standards.  Check implements at least 60 minutes before the event.  The Oregon Track Club Masters (OTCM) can provide some throwing implements.

PACKET PICKUP:

Phoenix Inn, 6-7:30 PM, Friday August 1st or Hayward Field after 7:30 AM Saturday August 2nd.
